Please complete the online registration form at the bottom of this page. After becoming a member and joining the MHSAA for your particular sport or sports. It is CRUCIAL to register with Arbiter under the WMUA and proceed to create or update your profile with Contact Info along with Dates you cannot work, Schools you dont want to work, Locations you dont want to work at, Umpires you do not want to work with, 3yr MHSAA Rating in your sport and Years of High School Umpiring experience.
This is VITAL for the Assignor's to create a schedule for you in a timely matter. Not keeping this up to date causes problems and delays for everyone.
Payments may be made online with a credit card or Affinipay account, or by mailing a check to the West Michigan Umpires Association.

If you are existing member, please click the "Renew Membership" button below. After renewing it is crucial to go to your Arbiter Profile and update your availability for Days, Schools, Locations and Partners. Not keeping your Profile up-to date will result in being put at the bottom of the list for games. It is also very important to update your Profile with your MHSAA 3year rating along with inputting your years of HS umpiring experience. These can be located on the MHSAA website under the OFFICIALS PAGE.
RECRUITING CREDIT: If you have recruited a new member and have credit with the WMUA you will get that credit for the 2025 season. Just contact Curt Johnson to make sure you receive that credit. The WMUA will no longer offer the credit moving forward.

This shall consist of coaches, athletic directors, and other people with an interest in this Association. They shall not pay dues or be eligible to vote but they shall be eligible to be appointed to committees and to attend and take an active part in any meeting. They shall be listed in the WMUA website Directory and be on the Association’s mailing list. Application for membership shall be made to the Executive Board and be approved by a majority vote therein.
This membership level will follow the criteria outlined in the MHSAA Legacy Program. The WMUA association membership level is intended for students ages 14-18 years of age. There are no association dues or cost to belong to the association for students during their time at this level. The student does not have voting rights or full access to that of a Active Member. The student can attend training meetings, general membership meetings, clinics, banquets and can receive games from assignors while following the MHSAA Legacy Program.
